IT ALL STARTED WITH A BAD LATTE.

The Start: Iced Lattes and Bad Drip Coffee

I've always loved iced lattes and matcha, but I kept running into the same problem: At every event—corporate party, wedding, community fair—the coffee was a total afterthought. It was always that sad, self-serve drip station stuck in a corner. It’s such a norm, I didn't even think to question it!

My partner and I were obsessed with the idea of taking coffee and treating it like the art of a cocktail—creating unique, blended recipes that were exciting and unforgettable. We didn't want to serve the same boring drinks you find everywhere. We wanted to be the brand people sought out.

The Leap of Faith (and a DIY Cart)

We initially tried to launch a specialty coffee bag brand, but between the design hurdles and the cost, it just wasn't happening. I was serving full-time, looking at a Nespresso machine at home, and realized I couldn't call myself an entrepreneur if I didn't even have a business.

So, I took my savings, bought my very first espresso machine and grinder, and became my own student. Every night after work, I was at home, teaching myself to pull a shot, steam milk, and, the hardest part, attempting latte art. Then I realized how much terrible matcha was out there, and I knew we had to fix that, too.

The dream became bigger: a mobile concept. We thought about a van, but the budget was nowhere close. I found a simple cart plan online, sent it to my amazing boyfriend's dad, and he built our very first custom cart within a week. Crazy!

The First Event: Chaos and a Queue

We had three weeks to finalize the entire setup while working full-time. We were painting the cart and designing the menu after midnight, fueled only by endless trial shots.

Our first event was all-girls, so my mom came to help—and thank goodness she did! We had a line the entire time. I remember thinking, "OMG, this is it." The compliments flooded in, especially about the matcha!

Since then, it's just been a journey of setting up in unexpected places—from getting booked for our first Montreal wedding a month later (introducing quality matcha to a whole new crowd!) to partnering with brands and communities.

We still operate with that same passion: To bring something unique and genuinely good to every single person we serve.
